Business Analyst - Business HR

This role is heavy on the testing side. The right candidate must have strong testing capabilities.

The business analyst within the business team of Human Resources is responsible for analysis as it relates to business issues, development and review of business processes, business practices, documentation of procedures, training materials and tools. The business analyst role will support a global HR system implementation project and therefore, may participate within the project team filling multiple roles throughout each phase of the project.

Accountabilities:

Conducts analysis on business programs/processes projects. Works with subject matter experts to define changes/recommendations to stream line cross business area processes etc.

Develops specific business processes, practices and tools and facilitates implementation within the business teams.

Participates in business issue management

Creates documentation of business processes and procedures and training materials. May be required to provide training on new or enhanced processes or work with subject matter experts to develop them

Works with client group on developing the business case for changes as they may relate to business procedures etc.

Define and document for the different business teams processes, procedures as it relates to payroll, time and attendance and/or HRIS system projects

Participate in business testing and scenario definition in all aspects (integration business testing, user acceptance testing, parallel testing)

Lead business team in analysis on issues, processes as required from a project perspective

Active participant in business teams for project related tasks - conversion, testing, process definition, issue resolution, business requirements

  • Testing of new business applications - development of business test case scenario's - coordination and review of defects, issues
Business Skills:
  • University degree or post secondary education
  • Minimum 3-5years experience
  • Consulting (working experience)
  • Facilitation (working experience)
  • Analysis (working experience)
  • Oral and Written Communication (extensive experience)
  • User Acceptance Testing
  • Co-ordination of test for functional business
  • Knowledge of Human Resources processes, Payroll or time and attendance systems preferable
  • Knowledge of data conversion related to member information
  • Demonstrated experience in projects related to large scale system implementations
Mandatory Skills:
