SOFTWARE INTEGRATOR / DEVELOPER (Toronto, ON)

As a SOLUTIONS INTEGRATOR/DEVELOPER for CDIT Inc., your primary role will be understanding and refining customer requirements and architecting innovative technical solutions to meet those requirements.

You will be responsible for pre-sales support tasks; all facets of system design, integration and implementation of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions (Imaging, Workflow and Document Management); post sales training and support to clients; direction to team members; and support to senior staff.

Your Challenge:
This position is a very diverse hands-on role that requires an energetic, motivated and highly reliable person that takes ownership and enjoys challenges.

You will work as part of our implementation and support services team and will be responsible for providing technical leadership to define, plan, implement and support enterprise-wide image capture, document management, and records management solutions for our customers.

The key responsibilities of the Software Solutions Integrator / Developer include:
  • Maintain expertise in all CDIT solution technologies and products.
  • Analyze and understand client needs and requirements and develop feasible, business-benefit driven solutions based upon CDIT’s service offerings.
  • Identify architectural options and solution components that are in line with the client’s requirements, including preparing and presenting solution recommendation(s) and demonstrations to the client.
  • Estimate effort involved with realizing a solution.
  • Participate in systems integration and solutions delivery, reviewing quality assurance to ensure project deliverables are delivered as required to ensure all deliverables adhere to the project requirements and scope.
  • Provide technical guidance throughout all phases of a project and influence changes in strategy and approach, where required.
  • Establish ongoing project approaches and best practices for architecture development, design, integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Keep up to date with respect to information technology trends in the ECM space, as well as competitor strengths, weaknesses and services offerings.
The key qualifications of the Solutions Integrator / Developer include:
  • Experience in programming and Web application development, including experience with Microsoft .Net architecture, XML, SQL, Oracle, J2EE, COM, ADO, SOA, and the following languages: Visual Basic (6.0 and .NET), Java, JavaScript.
  • Experience in application development, systems integration, and implementation of end-to-end, solutions.
  • Post-secondary education in Computing Science or equivalent.
  • Strong business analysis and organizational skills, including the ability to plan, coordinate, and monitor a significant number of functions/tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead assignments/teams and mentor others.
  • Demonstrated capacity for problem solving, synthesis, and making sound recommendations and decisions.
  • Experience in architecture and design of distributed, multi-tier applications, particularly using one or all of the following ECM technologies: Document Imaging, Workflow and Document Management, Electronic Forms experience a definite asset.
  • The ability to articulate value proposition and conceptualize a solution in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including non-technical.
  • Excellent written & interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients;
  • Exceptional listening, communication and public speaking skills.
  • Proven ability to successfully complete assignments of high magnitude and complexity.
  • A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines.
  • Interest in and awareness of emerging IT trends and directions.
Additional Info/Special Instructions:
Please note that this is NOT a pure programming position but would entail the understanding and implementation and customization of various high-end off-the-shelf software products. You should possess strong analytical capabilities, and excellent interpersonal, and communication skills, and would work out of our downtown Toronto office. As a consultant, you would regularly visit our client locations in the GTA to implement our solutions.
