Project Manager w Insurance exp (P&C) - PERM (Downtown Toronto)

Our client, a global leader in the insurance field is looking for a FULL TIME Project Manager to join their Project Services office. This role will is key to the organization as the develop a Centre of Excellence in the Toronto office for a major application development projects.

You are looking for an organization who's IT department does not settle. They push the envelope and look at ways to improve systems, processes and people as part of their regular way of doing business. They promote from within, train and support educational persuits.

You bring:
  • 5-8 years experience managing medium to large sized projects
  • Managing teams of 10-15 people within a matrix environment
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline
  • PMP Certification highly preferred, however near completion will be considered
  • Preference will be given to those candidates that have some insurance experience preferably Property & Casualty
  • Solid experience following project management best practices and methodologies
Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong experience in managing application development projects
  • Solid MS Office and MS Project skills
Location: Downtown Toronto
Compensation: Salary depends upon experience
