Responsibilities:
  • Develop solutions using the appropriate language (VB 6.0. C#, ASP.NET, SOAP/Web Services, Crystal Reports, SQL Server 2000/2005/2008, WCF, WF, EF, Enterprise Library).
  • Reporting to the Application Development Manager, the Intermediate Programmer/Analyst contributes to the completion of project deliverables and is accountable for the analysis, design, development, quality assurance, implementation, and support of web, web service and desktop applications.
  • Analyze business requirements for the company and design the best possible solution based on technology, infrastructure and timelines provided.
  • Work closely with the Application Development Manager and Business Analysts and end users to ensure code quality, accuracy and correct business solutions have been developed.
  • Participates in the multiple stages of project development adhering to the SDLC/CMMI methodologies.
  • Develop unit test cases/criteria to verify all functionality adheres to specifications.
  • Provide post-implementation support.
  • SQL server database maintenance including but not limited to schema changes, adding replication agents and monitoring performance.
  • Complete project deliverables within timelines specified and budget restraints as per business requirements.
  • Assist in IT development related Help Desk tickets issued by the end user(s).

Qualifications:
Education / Experience / Skills:
  • Post secondary education in Computer Science or Information Technology required
  • MCPD – Enterprise Application Developer Designation (minimum 3 of 6 exams passed)
  • 3+ Years of programming experience
  • .NET 3.5/4.0 development in C#, ASP.NET, Web Services, WCF, WF, EF and Enterprise Library
  • SQL Server 2005/2008 experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and independently with minimal guidance
  • Ability to interact with Business Analysts, QA’s and the end user
  • Financial experience
  • Design pattern knowledge/experience
  • Microsoft Windows Presentation Framework experience
  • XAML experience
