Front-end ASP.NET Web Developer (Richmond Hill )

Our client, one of Canada’s leading SaaS eCommerce providers is seeking a skilled and passionate ASP.NET Web Developer to join our team. An ideal candidate has years of experience developing and implementing Front-End Web Applications designed for performance, scalability, reliability and cross-browser compatibility using ASP.NET (C#), HTML, CSS and JavaScript including related libraries like jQuery. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and programming in T-SQL is also required. A candidate should know their way around tools like Firebug and Fiddler to be able to analyze and debug DOM/layout issues, debug HTTP requests and identify DOM/JavaScript leaks.

The position is based out of Richmond Hill, Ontario (just outside of Toronto). The Office environment is young and casual but also fast paced.

Experience:

• University of college-level degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a comparable program.
• At least 5 years experience developing production web applications
• At least 2 years developing applicationsin C#/ASP.NET.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing ASP.NET front-end websites based on the company Platform
• Building custom web-controls as needed
• Slicing PSD files into XHTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Authoring SQL queries to query our product catalog
• Work with our Platform Team to identify areas of our platform that need refactoring for performance, design, reliability or scalability reasons as it related to front-end implementations
• Documenting implementations, providing assistance to the Technical Writing Team
• Communicating with clients regarding progress, feature requests, answering general questions, application support
• Reporting to the management team with regards to ongoing progress, future requirements
• Requirements
• Strong object oriented design and programming using C# and ASP.NET 3.5
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 (programming with T-SQL)
• Job experience working with C#, ASP.NET, .NET framework, JavaScript, AJAX
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional Assets:

• Knowledge of the Microsoft Windows Server platform, including IIS, Active Directory, COM+ and MSMQ, WCF, etc.
• Microsoft Team Foundation Server
• Experience with other eCommerce Products, OMS, CRM, etc
• Experience with Adobe Photoshop
• Experience with Microsoft Azure
• Experience with Microsoft Silverlight
