Telecom Analyst (North York)

Our client is currently in need of a Telecom Analyst to join their team of IT Professionals in their North York office. This is a permanent role with a base salary range of 70-80K.

Our client currently has a permanent position for a Telecom Analyst. The successful candidate will support voice communications at our client site. Coordinate and completes projects according to plan. Perform voice communications projects, such as: reviewing vendor supplied technical descriptions, performance, installing and configuring hardware and software. Also, the Telecommunications Analyst’s mandate will be to maintain SLA’s for all organizational telecom applications.

Skills & Requirements:

MUST HAVES:

• A minimum of 4 years experience in Voice Communications with demonstrated proficiency in Nortel products including; Nortel PBX, Meridian Mail, Call Pilot, Nortel Symposium, IVR, Voice Recording Technology.
• Some experience with Cisco Systems devices including, Call Manager, Unity Voicemail and IPCC is an asset.

Nice to Haves:

• Knowledge of Video conferencing systems.
• Responsible for routine moves, adds and changes (MAC’s).
• Knowledge of telecommunications vendors, services and products.
• Monitor and identify capacity and performance issues for telecom traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation of telecom systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and procedure manuals.
• Strong knowledge of voice engineering principles and concepts.
• Ability to effectively multi-task and work independently, as well as work collaboratively with other team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure with limited supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• On call support for Voice environment

Work Conditions:

• On-call availability.
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other communications/computer components.
• Occasional inspection of cables and wiring in floors and ceilings.
• Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as telecommunications equipment and peripherals.
• Must have access to automobile.

Location: North York
Compensation: base salary range of 70-80K.
