Our client is looking for a Lead Tester for this 3 month& 26 day contract. Must have previous experience in a leadership role with a focus on testing processes. This role is specific to a Human Resources Global project so previous experience working on a global HRIS (payroll implementation) would be ideal or Time & Attendance. WorkDay experience would be a terrific asset. This person would be dealing with the vendors and changes that would need to be made (all vendors are located in Canada). Work location could be Waterloo or Victoria Park & Sheppard with travel to Waterloo once a week.

This is a contract opportunity for a technical analyst with experience working with HR applications in a client-server environment to join a team of development professionals in support of the Global HR Project. The successful candidate will be multi-skilled and adaptable as she/he will be working with our vendors and our IT team (business analysts, designers, developers and testers) to deliver on the testing and implementation of the various interfaces with our HR application. We are looking for an individual who is technically savy and provide technical management and support for a variety of activities within the project. You will be responsible for understanding the many interactions that exist for our HR process and providing direction and support of the testing of these interfaces. Environments and existing processes are being changed to implement the Global HR application and you will be accountable to work with vendors and internal staff to deliver change requests and defect corrections.

Skills needed:
- Experience working with HR applications, preferably WorkDay as a technical lead or technical business analyst
- Proven experience with IT system development life cycle, particularly directing testing and coordinating work tasks for other team members
- Proven IT skills preferably with a degree in Computer Science, related technology degree/diploma or equivalent experience
- Demonstrates problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations/problems systematically and deliver effective right-sized solutions in a timely manner.
- Experience with MS Sql Server and ability to do data analysis and investigation
- Experience integrating vendor packages and dealing directly with vendor personnel
- Ability to work independently as well as being a strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a multi-site environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle several tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Assets:
- Knowledge and experience with report building, particularly Crystal/BOXI
- Knowledge and experience with ETL development, specifically PowerCenter Knowledge and experience with any of the following products:
- MS .Net (VB.NET, ASP, C#)
- Mainframe JCL and Zeke
