Our client, a dynamic global leader in electronic trading systems with offices worldwide, is currently seeking a Server Side Java Developer.
In this role, you will work within a division specializing in repo and securities finance in downtown Toronto. You will be responsible for carrying out ongoing software development on repo and securities software for the financial industry. This will include full product life cycle management, from putting together technical specifications through to design, implementation, testing and debugging. These responsibilities will be for clients as well as for in-house development.
Required Skills:

Required Skills:
- BSc in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- 5+ years Java programming
- Experience with Server Side development required
- 5+ years software development in UNIX environment including shell scripts and other UNIX tools
- Strong communication skills
Desirable Skills:
- Perl programming experience
- C++/C programming
- Experience in or understanding of financial markets, trading systems, etc.
- Experience with formal QA and SW test procedures
- Relational database experience (Oracle, Sybase)
- MSc or PhD – highly regarded
